Pros:
Back in time is the theme throughout the mostly positive Universal Cabana Bay Hotel Reviews. The 1950's design is fun and makes the Cabana Bay a place to go over and over. Our kids absolutely loved the 2 pools. One had a long lazy river and the other a large water slide. The sand beach made it feel like you could lay out and drink margaritas all day. The staff was just fantastic and helpful at every turn. Even though there is not a waterway, the buses continuously shuttled us back and forth. There was very little waiting. In fact, it might be faster taking the bus from Cabana Bay than the Water Taxi at other resorts.
Cons:
Some guests, while they still liked the Cabana Resort, wished that they had a water taxi. It is the only Universal Resort that does not have boats to take you to the parks and the walk is a little long. A few of the visitors mentioned that the beds could use a mattress replaced. Get ready for the parking fees. It is not lot Disney when you stay at any of the Universal Resort Hotels. Add the daily parking fees to your stay to get the full impact before booking.
