Overview of the Disney Beach Club in Orlando
Picture yourself at an up-state, New England style Resort and visit the Disney Beach Club Resort. The Beach Club is right next door to the Disney Yacht Club Resort and is considered to be the more informal and relaxed between the two. It is however a very elegant resort and worthy of the Disney Deluxe Resort title. Located on Crescent Lake, you can take the Water Taxi to the Boardwalk Inn, Hollywood Studios or Epcot. Many guests will walk to Epcot as it is only about 1/4 mile away by foot.
Rooms and Suites
The standard rooms at the Beach Club Resort are quite large if you compare them to a normal hotel. There are also many different bedding configurations to select from, some of which will sleep up to 5 guests. All of the standard guestrooms have a single bathroom making it a little cramped for a larger group. If you need more space, consider stepping up to either the 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom Suite. Both of these suites give you a private bedroom to get some much needed time on your own. Some of the rooms have amazing views of the Pool or the Lake.
Things to do
The Stormalong Bay Water Park certainly gets the most attention from guests when they visit and for good reason. At 3 acres in size, it is far larger than any of the other pools at the Disney World Resorts. It is also the only Disney Resort to have both a Lazy River and a 230 foot Water Slide. Add in a sand-bottom pool and this is a real treat for all guests. This pool area is also shared with the Yacht Club but has plenty of space for both resorts. Other things to enjoy at the Beach Club are Tennis Courts, Bike Rentals, Water Craft to take out on the lake, fishing excursions and Fantasia Miniature Golf.
Dining
There are only a couple of options for dining at the Beach Club Resort itself, including the Cape May Cafe with some of the best seafood. It also is the place where you can have a buffet breakfast with Disney Characters. The Beaches and Cream Soda Fountain has some of the best burgers around not to mention some amazing dessert creations. All of the restaurants at the Yacht Club are also available as well as the Boardwalk options at the Disney World Boardwalk Inn Resort on the other side of Crescent Lake.

Disney World Beach Club Resort Reviews
Pros:
Very high ratings from most guests from the room appearance and cleanliness to the views of the lake. Over and over guests talk about how much they like being so close to Epcot and that they can walk without getting tied up in long lines. Families really enjoy the Stormalong Bay Water Play area with Water Slide and Lazy River. You must try the Ice Cream Parlor near the main pool, Beaches and Cream. The kids had an amazing time meeting Mickey and Minnie at the Buffet Breakfast at Cape May Cafe.
Cons:
Some of the guests, even some with good reviews talk about how tight things are in the bathrooms. Also, there are not many cheaper options for dining so be sure to add in the extra expense for eating.
