Overview of the Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter in Orlando
Take a stroll down the streets of Historic New Orleans French Quarter Resort in Disney World where you will feel as if you are in the heart of the Big Easy. As soon as you walk to the front door, you are greeted with the flavor and style of walking down the streets of New Orleans. Jazz Music is playing and the lobby is an incredible depiction of the architecture from the French Quarter. This Disney Moderate Resort is one of the smaller Resorts but makes for a great location with the beauty of the Courtyards and the Lake.
Rooms
All of the Rooms at the Disney Port Orleans French Quarter are the same size but do come with options like a King Bed which sleep up to 2 guests or 2 Queens, sleeping four (4). The view is what you are looking for when you book your room. Do you want to stay in one of the lovely gardens where tranquility surrounds, or maybe by the river to hear the water rushing by. If you have small ones, you might also consider staying in a room by the large pool. WiFi is free in all guest rooms and is accessible through the Resort.
Things to do
The Port Orleans French Quarter Resort might not be huge but it has plenty of fun amenities. The Outdoor Heated Pool is fantastic, especially for the smaller kids with a long serpent Water Slide and a Children’s pool. There is also a kids splash zone with multiple smaller water slides and zero entry access. Since you are staying at a Port Orleans Resort, you also have full access to the 3.5 acre Water Play area with large water slide at the Riverside Disney Resort. Just take a walk along the River or catch the Water Taxi. Take the family out for a nice bike ride or get your exercise on the long jogging trail. There is also a dry playground and a fire-pit.
Dining
Having access to two Resorts makes for some really great dining. At the Port Orleans French Quarter, you have the full Food Court at the Food Factory but head up to the Riverside and you can also enjoy a sit down dining experience at the Boatwright’s Dining Hall.

Disney World Port Orleans French Quarter Resort Reviews
Pros:
At an almost 90% above average rating, most guests love the Port Orleans French Quarter in Disney World. So many visitors just love the style and the beauty of the grounds feeling like they have taken a portal to New Orleans. Staff is very friendly. Since this resort is a little smaller than some of the other Disney World Resorts, it does lend itself to less walking to get where you need to be. Having the Water Taxi service and Buses made it simple to get where you wanted to be.
Cons:
There are very few below average reviews but some of the guests did not like the size of the resort, being a little on the small side. Others found that the food court dining was crowded. A few guests felt that the buses took a little longer to pick up. It has also been mentioned that the some of the rooms need some updating and were a little dusty.
