Have a Fender Guitar sent to your room (rental required) and rock out to amazing tunes. The entire Resort is decked out in Rock n' Roll Memorabilia worth a few hours of checking out on its own. The massive outdoor heated pool at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando is unique in that it has an underwater sound system. Rock above and below the water. The water slide is 260 feet long and is perfect fun for the older kids and the adults. A water taxi services the Hard Rock Hotel to ferry you back and forth to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Oh, and don't forget, just staying at this incredible resort automatically gets your entire family Express Passes and early access to the Wizarding Wrold or Harry Potter.

PROS

Pros:
A common theme seems to surround the Universal Orlando Hard Rock Hotel, it Rocks!! The staff is very professional and check in was a breeze. The rooms are very well decorated with a Rock theme everywhere you look and the beds are oh so comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the Character breakfast with Scooby Doo and some other friends were there as well. The Hard Rock Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from Universal Orlando but we did take the water taxi a couple of times. The Pool and Water Slide is amazing! Having underwater sound was quite impressive, something we had never experienced before.

CONS

Cons:
If you have stayed at any of the Disney Resort Hotels, you are very familiar with the Free parking but don't expect that at the Universal Resorts. You will pay a pretty hefty nightly fee when staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando or any of the other Universal Resorts. Be sure to plan that in to your price for the week. Some of the guests mentioned that the hotel workers were only there to make tips. They did not feel the warmth along with doing things that needed to be done.
