Overview of the Disney Boardwalk Inn in Orlando

Elegant style with a wisp of whimsical amusements make the Disney Boardwalk Inn one of the more different and distinct properties in Disney World. This incredible Disney World Deluxe Resort welcomes you with the class of a 20th century Resort found at Atlantic city complete with Boardwalk, lights and street performers. Carnival games abound and all of your dining is located on the Boardwalk where you can enjoy the sights of boats on the lake and sounds of performers making guests laugh around the property. Set in between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the Disney World Boardwalk Inn is in a prime location to easily get to either park making this a special resort for many who visit.

Accommodations

There are many reasons the Disney Boardwalk Inn is considered a NEAT Stay and one of these is having the option of getting a room that overlooks the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake. The balconies with seating off a perfect way for watching passers by and just the elegance of viewing the boats passing through the night. All of the rooms are the same in size except for the Garden Rooms (or Cottages). The more standard rooms have two (2) queen beds and a day bed, 2 queen beds or a king giving you many different sleeping options and can also allow for up to 5 guests. The rooms are themed to give you that old style sense of staying at a prime Atlantic City resort. The Garden Rooms give you a lot more space with two levels of living. On the first level there is a large living area complete with sectional sofa and TV as well as a wet bar with microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. On the second level you will find the large bedroom space and private bath with Deep Soaking Tub. Fireworks can be see from some of the rooms so if this is what you would like, be sure to request this option when booking.

Things to do

Living on the Boardwalk during your stay offers many unique things to do that other resorts don’t have. Just a walk along the Boardwalk during the day or night is such a great family or even romantic experience. The lights are mesmerizing and the fun of interacting with the live performers on the Boardwalk is something your kids will never forget. There are a total of three (3) pools on the property. The Luna Pool is the largest and considered the Family pool complete with a 200 foot water slide that has the appearance of an old wooden roller coaster. There is also a small children’s pool with toy elephants happily spraying your child all day long. The large arcade can be a nice place to go and cool down if it is hot or the weather does not cooperate for a while. Two Tennis courts are available at the side of the Resort, a fitness facility, playground, jogging trail, fishing and even boat rentals at the marina. Oh, and don’t forget to try our the Disney Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course. There is so much going on at the Boardwalk Inn, you will always have something to do.

Dining

From Fine Dining at the Flying Fish Table Service restaurant with some amazing Seafood options to the Quick service Pizza Window on the Boardwalk, there are many options available to meet your hunger needs. Be aware that all dining at the Boardwalk Inn is outside of the Hotel, most situated on the Baordwalk. This gives you some unique dining and opportunities to sit by the water and enjoy the sites but some guests have mentioned that it would be nice if they had some options inside the hotel as well.
