Each bungalow is suspended above the turquoise waters of the Pacific in a lagoon surrounded by a sand beach. The glass bottom floor is unique to each of the bungalows over the water allowing you to see down in to the water watching the sea life swim by. This incredible 5 Star Resort on Moorea Island has plenty of activities with snorkeling, kayaking, boat tours and much more. The full service spa is always ready to make you feel like a king or queen and the nearby golf course offers a real treat for those who want to play a round while on Moorea.

Pros:
You know you have found somewhere special when you find a review comparing the Sofitel Ia Ora Beach Resort to walking through a postcard. The staff is very friendly and well trained to take care of your needs. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and have the necessary amenities for each stay. Pool is nice but the beach and snorkeling are a highlight of any trip to Moorea.

CONS

Cons:
Some of the complaints come, not just from the below average guests but some of the good reviews even include a poor review of the slow check in experience. WiFi was also another issue mentioned as not always being as strong as it should be at all places around the property. The mosquito's are pretty bad even though the resort is continuously spraying for them.
