Hotels in Tahiti for Family Trips

It wasn’t long ago, going to a South Pacific Island, like Tahiti, was just expected to be a Romantic trip for two. A new trend has occurred over the years and now Hotels are more open to families as well. So take your kids and head off to the Islands but be sure to check the Best Family Resorts in Tahiti before you go. Be sure to check your options and the amenities first because not every Resort is designed with the Family in mind.

What makes a Resort the Best Family place to stay?

This might be a subjective topic, but there are a few check boxes you might want to look for. Are there enough beds for the kids or will they need to sleep on a Sofabed or Rollaway Bed? If you have more than 2 kids, will you need to book a connecting room? Do the restaurants have kids menus and do kids “eat free”? It is also important to look at the fun amenities the Resort has. A Resort with a nice, large pool is nice but if you can find one with zero-entry it makes it easier for the little ones to wade in to the shallow water on their own. As you can see, there is a lot to think about.

Kids Club and Baby Sitting

Taking a trip to Tahiti with kids to show them the beauty of this part of the world is a great reason for them to tag along but there might be times when you want to have your own romantic times. Having a kids club where the kids have something to keep them occupied throughout the day is a nice option but unfortunately, none of the Resorts in Tahiti for Families have a Children’s Club. Most of them do have babysitting services though and if you have little ones with you, be sure to take advantage of this at least for a night.

A Couple Resorts stand out for Families

Let’s face the facts, in Tahiti, most Resorts are setup for that Romantic stay for two but there are a couple of Hotels with amenities that make them Stand out for a Family trip. The InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa has the most incredible sand bottom pool and kids love it. The shallow end is wonderful for the little ones and the deeper side will keep the teens nice and cool while they play. The InterContinental provides Childcare as well allowing you to step out and enjoy an adult evening for yourself. Another might be the Le Meridien Resort Tahiti with family activities like kayaking and snorkeling for the larger kids they also offer childcare services.
